Hook a Book – Programming Team

With the assistance of the Media Specialists, team members select books from the FW collection that illustrate the IB attitudes (character attributes). Volunteer readers for the program then choose books from these lists when reading to the classrooms. The programming team evaluates books by grade level and prepares short conversation prompts relating to the books and the IB attitudes. Even if you are unable to make the team meetings, you may provide book recommendations to the programming team by leaving a note with the Media Specialists.

Hook a Book – Reading in the classroom

Volunteers choose 2-3 books from a list compiled by the programming team around a central theme, which has been chosen to reflect a particular IB attitude (character trait).
