Summer Garden
Summer School Garden Experience
June & July 2021
We had lots of helping hands this summer as students from the summer school program at Farmington Woods worked in the garden each Monday and Thursday from 10-11am. We hosted two classes per day throughout the summer so all classes had the opportunity to participate. The children had great questions about what was being grown, how far down to plant seeds, and how long our carefully planted seeds would take to grow. Students enjoyed sharing about gardening with their grandmother or their own gardens at home.
All of our harvests are donated to The Dorcas Ministries Food Bank in Cary.
