What is a trunk or treat?
Trunk or Treat promotes a fun, safe environment for children and families to trick or treat. Kids dress up in costume and walk between decorated trunks of vehicles in the school’s upper parking lot. Parent volunteers provide the trunks and the treats for our trick or treaters by parking in the lot and handing out treats from their decorated car trunk. Treats can include commercially packaged candy or other non-food items such as pencils, erasers, stickers, tattoos, small toys, or glow sticks. Costumes encouraged for the whole family! Please don’t forget a bag to collect your treats. This event is ONLY for FWES families.
Can we access the rest of the school campus?
The playground is available only with adult supervision, and it will get dark during the event. The school building will be closed, so there is no access to bathrooms. Please plan accordingly.
How can I help?
Trunks: We need parents to decorate their vehicle trunks and hand out treats. Please help by signing up at this link. Those wanting to decorate a trunk must sign up in advance and be prepared to stay for the entire event (set up at 5:30 pm, distribute treats 6:00 - 7:00 pm). Have fun decorating your trunk in a creative or entertaining way (no advertising please, this is strictly a community event.) Bring your own bowl, table, or candy chute to use to distribute treats.
Treats: We need treat donations! There will be a candy monster for collecting drop-offs located by the school’s front office from October 3 - 23. Treats can include commercially-packaged candy or non-food items such as pencils, erasers, stickers, tattoos, small toys, glow sticks, etc.
When is the event?
