This annual FWES tradition is a celebration of our school’s diversity and cultural heritage. We encourage families to wear cultural dress and share. We learn about different cultural dances, music, games and traditions.
All FWES families and friends are invited to attend!
Kids can complete their passports by traveling "around the world" and enter to win a prize!
World Dance is on Friday March 6 and is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our different cultures through activities, dances, and displays. If you're interested in helping out, here’s a breakdown of areas where assistance is needed:
Country Station Activities and Games: Help plan, collect supplies, and support the volunteers running fun, interactive activities that represent various cultures.
Cultural Dances: Share your dance skills or help coordinate performances that showcase traditional dances from different countries.
Showcasing Artifacts: Assist in displaying cultural artifacts in a window exhibit to educate attendees about different traditions. (set up ahead of the event, break down post event)
Marketing the Event: Help create messaging and work with our VP Communications to promote the event through social media, flyers, or outreach to attract more participants and attendees.
Passport Creation: Contribute to creating a 'passport' system for participants to collect stamps from different country stations.
Door Prize Collection: Solicit donations from local businesses.
If you're interested in volunteering in any of these areas, it would be great to hear from you. Your involvement will make this event more enriching and enjoyable for all! Would you like to be involved or want more information? Contact us through this form or contact Leah-Catherine at 984-500-7232 before January 19 to be on the committee.
